Kollam
| Kollam in South Kerala is know for cashews and coir and as the southern entrance to the backwaters. The city has a wealth of Temples, Mosques and Churches. Mahatma Gandhi Park and beach 2km from town and the 100 year old, 144ft Thangassery lighthouse are popular attractions. There is an adventure park on the shores of Astamudi lake where cruise boats, motor boats and power boats can be hired from the boat jetty. |
